There’s nothing like remembering the good stuff during a rather long and arduous week – so let’s get this thing off the ground!

* Julie & Julia – a blogger who gets a book and movie deal? What’s not to love? Really looking forward to renting the movie now although I have to say there are a *lot* of things that remind me of myself in this book, not all of them good. And I’m sure most bloggers have had those rows with their partners, right?! What I am not so pleased about is that my copy got waterlogged (see above) and it’s like reading cardboard now!
* We got tickets to see Flight of the Conchords in Birmingham in May.
* The Regional Yoga Teachers Forum on Saturday, at which I am teaching (eek)!
* Vegan “sausage” rolls with ketchup which bizarrely remind me of Tasmania (don’t ask!)
* Morning pages – I cannot tell you how much these help with both my writing and my inner critic.

Sausage rolls make me think of home too. The ones from the Ross Bakery were the best…sadly they don’t do a vegie version! I had to settle for a pastie last time we rolled through there.
Let me know what you think of J&J the movie, I’m curious about it too. xx
I have to ask- sausage rolls and Tasmania??
I had never heard of Morning Pages, so I had to look them up – what an awesome idea!
Sorry! “Anonymous” above was me
Glad you like Julie and Julia – I totally feel the same! Blogger+book deal = sweet!
Check out my post on the book:

Hi Rachel,
Thanks for checking in on me. I’ve been a blogging SLACKER! I’m glad to see it isn’t infectious though. You go girl! I loved Julie and Julia! I’m headed to sausage roll central this weekend. I’ll be thinking of you whilst bakery hopping in Brighton.
Hugs,
Jan
BTW, I taught your very cool sun salutation sequence today with cat/cow in the middle. It is SUCH a great sequence. Thanks so much!

Julie and Julia is terrific. I can’t understand why it wasn’t nominated for Best Picture.
Just saw “Up in the Air” and, while it had some good parts, for about half an hour in the middle I told my wife, I feel like we are watching the deleted scenes. At least half the movie was like bad TV.
Getting back to J & J, I love Sandra Bullock, but she better be terrific in Blind Side to justify choosing her over Meryl Streep.
