the first day of spring

…and what a beauty it has been!  But more on that in a second.

Firstly, if you are reading this in a Reader click through and take a look at my gorgeous new header banner made by the fabulous Bree at Yoga Gypsy.  Thanks Bree!

Secondly the long anticipated (well by me anyway!) cupcake page is up and running.

Thirdly, many congratulations to Angela at Just Waffling who completed the Sport Relief Mile today.  Go Angela!

And so to the weekend.  I started with a Green Monster!

In the mix: 200ml soy milk, half a banana, two handfuls of spinach, one kiwi fruit and a spoonful of peanut butter.

Yesterday was wet and rainy.  Himself was delighted because it meant I didn’t make him mow the lawn!  We stayed in and were entertained by cats instead.

(I have no idea what’s going on with his tail and tongue here!)

Today though, oh today was beautiful, and warm and smelled like summer and my garden came alive!

(check out the massive bumblebee!)

Cambridge is so beautiful in the summer

I hope you all had good weekends dear readers!

Okay, I am totally jealous of your new header! ;) It is GORGEOUS! Even if I knew how to upload one, I don’t even know what I’d do. I’m bored with my old headers, and want to design a new one, but I still haven’t come up with an idea. Sometimes, creativity can be slow! :)

Love the pics, and LOVE the cupcake page! Yay!!!! Happy Spring!

I like your new header. You did a great job on taking pictures of the flowers. Your cat is too cute! My cat sometimes sticks out her tongue too!

It looks beautiful! I love outdoor markets- and the picture of the flowers with the bees in it!

It was like spring here today, bright and sunny and warm enough to go without my winter coat! I lived near Cambridge about 8 years ago when I worked in a village called Meldreth. It was my first full-time job with full-time pay, shopping became my hobby. I loved going to that market, seeing the photos has brought back some nice memories :)

Oh, I didn’t know you were in Cambridge (or had forgotten). Wave to my student nephew and niece for me!

:) The new header looks great!! It’s very you, I think. :) Cambridge looks lovely too – my sister was at Oxford for years but I never made it to the “other” Oxbridge. :)
