saturday

The best thing about our house in Cambridge is the garden, especially now it’s spring!

Himself started the weekend by cooking his breakfast on the BBQ he bought this week.

And I started with a Green Monster

In the mix: 200ml soy milk, one pear, one kiwi, a handful of spinach.

There was carrot soup (not made by me :( )

And a tiny chocolate egg filled with mini Smarties!

Himself finally mowed the lawn….

….and I planted vegetables.

The black box will be full of carrots and the blue box with pumpkin and aubergine.  I’m weeding the raised beds to plant marigolds next to them because apparently marigolds keep blackfly off the veggies.

And to celebrate earth hour (and to prepare myself for the clocks going forward) I went to bed at 8.45pm! Rock’n'roll!

Hope you all had great Saturdays dear readers – what did you get up to?

I wish I had went to bed that early. Then I may have some more energy today! I’ve been sat about all day contemplating housework but not actually doing it! That is some BBQ!

  2. So fun….it has been so beautiful in Florida these days, perfect time for us since soon it will be a bit too hot. :-) Enjoy every moment of spring.

I am so envious of the Florida weather right now though. UK summers are a little….unpredictable (it’s been four years since we had decent warm weather!!)

What a great way to spend a Satuday :-)
ON Saturday I was overcome with a burst of autumn cleaning energy and I did a major bathroom overall and I must say it feels so nice to be in there now, knowing that its clean
Also baked a carrot cake and made a batch of hummus.
In the evening we all watched Hotel for Dogs (very cute and funny!) in complete darkness (felt like it was cheating having the tv on though)..
    have a great week :-)

Looks like a nice, healthy weekend! I would love to start a garden – would have to be in containers on our balcony, but I’m thinking about doing some lettuce & herbs. Thinking about the perfect container to hold it all…
