Hey friends! Did you miss me? It’s been a six day weekend. And it’s been fantastic! I’ve enjoyed doing not very much at all but here’s a photo rundown.
On Thursday Himself got new ink. He was incredibly brave and sat in the chair for over 6 hours! How awesome is the result (on his left upper arm)?

Meanwhile, I went for lunch with friends at The Old Bull in Barton Mills near Newmarket. I totally wish I hadn’t forgotten my camera as this pub has just been refurbished and looks amazing. The menu is also fantastic. I had vegan mushroom burger in ciabatta with potato wedges and slaw. Delicious!
On Good Friday I had hot cross buns with PB&J (what do you mean that’s disgusting?)
I baked vegan carrot cupcakes (recipe here) and Himself made chocolate nests.
On Saturday we finally had some good weather and cycled down to the Backs to enjoy the sunshine.
The Backs are exactly that, the backs of the colleges in Cambridge.

Kings College Chapel (probably our most famous landmark).

Then we came home and watched Julie and Julia, which I really enjoyed even though it was different from the book. In the book Julie wants to be an actress, not a writer and this to me makes it even more marvellous when her dreams comes true through writing rather than acting. But at the end of the day, like I said when I read the book, it’s about a blogger who gets a book and movie deal. What’s not to like! I did ask Himself about the scene where Julie and Eric have the huge row about how their entire lives end up on the blog. I asked him if he felt like that. He says he has got used to it!
Easter Sunday was boiled eggs for breakfast of course!
And an Easter Egg hunt and dinner at Ma and Pa Yogini’s.
Can you spot the eggs?

Neither me nor my brother have kids, but that doesn’t stop us hunting Easter eggs. Pa Yogini created some truly incomprehensible clues this year!

And finally, because she doesn’t get enough attention, Aurora says Happy Easter!
How did you spend your weekends dear readers?
