* The tulips in the garden. We only moved into this house in September so the things that are growing in the garden are a constant surprise. I didn’t even know there were tulips and yet suddenly, here they are!
* Blackbird courtship rituals outside my office window.
* Going through old journals and remembering things that lay half forgotten.
* My eternal struggle to capture a photograph of both cats together. Why do they hate each other so?
* Discovering new authors.
(And as an aside, things i loathe thursday – being woken up at 5.20am by a huge bang as the cat electrocutes himself chewing through a live wire. He is fine. I am not.)
