confessions of a yoga blogger part 2

*  My cats are my surrogate children.  Judging from the comments on yesterday’s post, it’s the same for some of you too.  This makes me happy beyond measure.  Cats, in all their devilish glory, rule.
* I cannot stand my hair long. Seriously it drives me insane. It’s one of those things that seems like a really good idea and I can have beautiful, graceful shots of Rapunzel like hair on my teaching website. In reality of course long hair, especially long hair as thick and wavy as mine is hot and itchy and thus always gets worn up. On Friday I had a bit of a “Falling Down” moment and had it hacked off. I also broke my shoe in the shopping mall but that’s another story.
* For a yoga teacher I am tres un-bendy. So, you know, being un-bendy is not an excuse for not coming to my classes! I am also incredibly clumsy. I cannot tell you the number of times I have broken my little toes stubbing them against walls and doors. It’s as though my little toes stick out miles from my body. Don’t believe the myth about yoga teachers being graceful!
* I have been teaching for almost exactly five years now and I still get nervous before every single class.
* I don’t like cauliflower since my nan told me as a child about a cauliflower she cut in half that was full of worms. I also don’t like peas or tomatoes but I don’t remember being told any worm related stories about them.
* I have always wanted to get my nose pierced, but I’m too scared. I will happily be tattoed all over but am scared of a little tiny hole in my nose. This is because of another story to do with somebody’s face becoming paralysed when they had it pierced but I don’t think my nan told that one!

Heather is having a wonderful giveaway over on her blog. Go check it out!

Have you posted an Operation Beautiful note yet?  Make today the day you do it!  I put one in a library book the other day.  I wonder who will read it?
