Steps down to Elizabeth Bay (where we are staying)
So where were we? Bats, yes! 25,000 bats. More on them shortly.

Fountain, Kings Cross (Himself: OMG it’s fully of topless bars just like Kings Cross in London – he actually used a more crude expression than “topless” but I shan’t repeat it.)
Over the last few days I have:-
* Been record shopping. This was a very important task as Wasting Light came out four whole days earlier here than anywhere else. The Australian edition has a piece of the original mastertape inside. It goes without saying that the album is beyond awesome.
* Slept a lot. That jetlag really knows no bounds! Although I am catching up on a serious sleep deficiency as well!
* Bought new Ugg boots for a fraction of the cost they are in the UK.

Saw a vomiting turtle

* Watched the sun set over the harbour whilst drinking Australian rose.
* Tried on leg irons in the Convict Museum. They really hurt, which I suppose is the point. My feelings are multitudinous on the whole concept of there being a Convict Museum, but it was very interesting.

* Met up with Stella and went to Yin Yoga. I needed Yin Yoga in my life so badly and feel a million times better for it so thank you Stella for driving me across town. They should have a person teaching Yin at airports for when you get off long hauls!
* Went to the Wildlife Park and Aquarium and saw all manner of unusual beasts including wallabies, kangaroos, koalas and (allegedly) Australia’s biggest crocodile.

There were also a lot of unmentionable creepy crawlies and some stunningly beautiful sharks.
Tomorrow we are off to Hobart. More then!

hahaha i LOVE the vomiting turtle!
I also am affected by jet for it would seem forever. One of the main reasons why the thought of traveling anywhere on a vacation gives me pause- I’d probably be spending most of my time recovering from jet lag!
Safe travels to Hobart
so true on the yin yoga. even after an 8 hr flight it should be mandatory. enjoy your trip
I believe I used the term “tittie bars”!
