And you beside me love.
Lost in your world, your thoughts.
Wherever you are love,
Is where contentment lies.
Today is our four year anniversary, we celebrated yesterday with a trip to London.

Fuelled with snacks of peanut butter and date cookies,

we walked through old stamping grounds, Camden to Parliament Hill.

Making a wish on top of Parliament Hill.

Nobody in the bathing ponds yesterday!

Then into Hampstead to Keats House,

and into Hampstead village for refuelling at Starbucks.

Finally, through Belsize Park into Primrose Hill for drinks at the Pembroke Castle (my old local and infamous for the number of times the staff have thrown Liam Gallagher out!) before dinner at probably my favourite restaurant in the world!
Manna is an almost predominantly vegan restaurant and holds many many memories for me, some good, some not so good but it was wonderful, finally, after all these years to go on a date with Himself there (even if Himself felt duped by the lack of dead animal). I ate everything before remembering to take photographs, but you can have a look at the menu here.
And then home to Cambridge (via a roundabout route due to engineering works). Because it is only when revisiting the scenes of your past that you can truly appreciate how far you have come, and how important it is that I am where I am right now.

This week I received the Sunshine Blog Award not once, but twice! One from Heather and one from Jamie. Thank you so much ladies – that made my week.
I now have to pass the award on to 10 people. I read a *lot* of blogs so it’s hard singling it out to 10. The 10 I have chosen are not all blogs specifically about yoga but they do all encompass so many of the thoughts of yoga, whether they know it or not! (Also I’m trying not to double up on people who already got the Sunshine!)
So instead of a “things I love Thursday” I’m going to have a “blogs I love Thursday” for the 10 wonderful bloggers who bring sunshine into my week with their brilliant writing. Spread the love onwards if you so desire!
* Brenda P at Grounding Through the Sit Bones
* Marie at Begin: Writing, Yoga, More
* MG at Who’s That Gamine? (you always make me smile girl!)
* Kiki at Yogademia (hope all is well in the States)
* Angela at Just Waffling
* Leslie at YogaDiva’s Divine Life
* La Gitane at Yoga Gypsy
* Kathleen at Soul Sisters
* Josephine at Tale Peddler
* And the final one goes to Himself over at Iron Thumb. A blog about software development (*yawn*), but he brings sunshine into my life every single day. Boring blog, fabulous man
(I know I’m going to get into trouble for calling his blog boring…..)

*ate the best vegan burrito I’ve had this side of the Atlantic in a plastic-chaired cafe behind Oxford Street (see above).
*had my wardrobe overhauled by a style advisor at
Top Shop, which was awesome. Basically I got to sit around on a sofa drinking tea while the woman brought a million outfits for me to try on. It was like being a rich person. Sadly I do not have a rich person’s budget so I had to choose only a few of the clothes. Came back with a pretty fantastic haul though AND I came in under budget. I tried on a ton of stuff that I wouldn’t have even thought of looking twice at if I’d been shopping on my own, some didn’t work, but a couple of things really looked good on me so that was an eye opener. If you adore clothes but hate shopping and can get to one of the big Top Shops fairly easily, I highly recommend this. You’ll come out feeling like a princess, or a rock star depending on your style.
*met a dear friend for Russian Caravan Tea and vegan almond cake.
* waited forever for a train home.
*realised once again how wonderful Himself is when he paid for my taxis and had Chinese takeaway waiting for me when I got home.
Awesome weekend (and totally yoga/writing unrelated, sorry about that)!
